The Pingyao International Photography Festival, located in Pingyao, China, is by far the biggest festival of its kind. With 2,200 photographers from around the world the whole city was lined with some of the most amazing photographs seen today. The location, however, seems to be a danger for prints. Some of the photographers have learned over the years that water proof laminated prints are the way to go for these kind of showings but there are other photographers who, even inside, could not properly protect their photos. This year's PIP festival was their 10th anniversary which just ended on Saturday. PIP has an everyone is welcome kind of attitude and now I hope that someday I too will be able to show my work here.
