So long to my poor car :(
So yesterday I got into a terrible terrible accident on the way to see an advanced screening of Harry Potter with my friends.
I was driving in the fast lane and this car was weaving through traffic trying to get around cars. They came up beside me and couldn't get around the car in front of them because There was a car in front of me and also another car to the right that they couldn't speed around. They had tried to go to the right and then realized they couldn't so they just slammed into me and forced me to run into the cement barrier in the medium.
I hit the wall hard and spun out into the HOV. I feel like I am incredibly lucky that I stayed in the HOV lane because if I hadn't I would have gone into oncoming traffic and would have been hit again most likely. I was in total shock and I can't even begin to descirbe how I was feeling when I finally realized what had happened. I didn't hit any other cars so no one else was hurt but they person who originally hit me didn't even stop. I just saw the blur that was their car speeding off on the highway.
The paramedics came and checked me out and told me that I was ok but I chipped a couple of my teeth but not too bad because you can't really see that they are chipped but I can feel them. I overheard the police telling each other that a witness called into Dallas Police and told them the description of the car plus a partial plate but their description didn't quite match mine so I'm not sure if it will help much.
My car is now is ruins. I feel like I lost a part of myself because that was my first car and it was my baby. My baby Luna. She is pretty much totaled now but we haven't had the insurance company check it out yet so they might say it's fixable. I highly highly doubt it but we'll see. As far as personal injuries go I have a busted lip and swollen cheek, a huge bruise on my left bicep, a huge huge huge bruise on my right breast, another bruise above my left breast, a cut on my right wrist, a bruise on my right elbow, a bruise and cut on my left knee, and a bruise on my right foot. All that plus the chipped teeth is much worse now than it was yesterday.
I feel incredibly lucky to be alive right now. After seeing the damage done to my car I just can't help but feel God was really looking out for me and that my car was truly amazing because it did it's job and I walked away from this accident.

This was the indention of the other car's tire. All the damage on the right side of my car was from where hit hit me while the left side was from hitting the concrete barrier.

Film Stills!
So tonight we convinced Vaughn to let us shoot either "I'm dead" type of photos or film stills. Well of course I chose film stills. I don't have the photos yet but here is a sneak peak into which ones I want to work with.

Ingredients
Photographs of recipe ingredients have been used to illustrate the new Ikea cookbook Hembakat är Bäst [Homemade is Best]. ‘We let ourselves be inspired by high fashion and japanese minimalism’ say Ikea on their promo website. The book, photographed by Carl Kleiner and styled by Evelina Bratell also contains great images of the finished recipes.
