So I went to see Mary Ellen Mark give a lecture at Richland College and if you don't know who she is then you better check yourself before you wreck yourself.
Why you ask?
Well because she is one of the best photographers known to man! KNOWN. TO. MAN.
I've admired her photos for a couple of years now and not even known that she was the one who shot them. Seriously people have been posting her photos without giving her credit on tumblr for months and so I would see the photo and immediately be in love with it but never know who took it.
Well now I can finally say who took the pictures and I am in love. In love with everything she chooses to be.
I had my camera with me at the time and looking back I wish I had taken at least one during the actual lecture but I was so intrigued by her pictures and the stories behind them and especially the Prom film that I didn't even think to document it for myself.
Everything about her lecture was fantastic. So here are some of my favorite photos by Mary Ellen Mark.
